REACHING OUT TO THE NEXT GENERATIOn
Along with educating our audience, we are also dedicated to educating the next generation. In our second year we added an education component to RR with the beginning of RAINDROPS – a children’s gallery. With the Raindrops program our artists visit classrooms and talk to kids about water conservation and have them paint with rainwater. The resulting art is displayed as part of the show. . For RR2016 we were thrilled to work with Portland Parks and Recreation to offer two Raindrops classes at the Sellwood Community Center.
RECYCLED RAIN AND THE BEAVERTON ARTS AND MAGNET ACADEMY NAHS
In 2016, The Recycled Rain Project partnered with the Art Communication Magnet Academy in Beaverton to showcase high school artists. We are excited to partner once again for RR2017 and give young artists a chance to participate in a professional show!
